Reporting to the Internal Audit and Risk Manager, you will provide specialist audit, risk and compliance support, to understand the effectiveness of internal controls and current level of compliance. In this role you will have the opportunity to deliver independent, objective assurance on the Society’s internal control environment and contribute to the improvement of risk and compliance frameworks, policies, practices and processes.
You will have a strong understanding of information systems, audit methodologies and processes, along with a successful track record managing audit assignments. You possess exceptional analytical and time management skills and a passion for continuous improvement in all that you do. You are a self-starter with excellent self-management and follow-up. You are enthusiastic, results focussed, proactive and driven by the next challenge.
You will bring a "hands on" approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on delivering outstanding work.
More specifically you will have:
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Business or related degree
- CPA/CA/CIA Certification or working towards
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking a range of internal audit, risk and compliance activities
- High level of analytical skills and the ability to make innovative & practical recommendations
- Strong analytical acumen to assess information to develop accurate reports to drive performance and results
- Demonstrated customer focus with an emphasis on providing a value added service
- Proven ability to work autonomously within dedicated timeframes
